Precision, Immediacy, Exceptional
Sensitivity - T2 Steerage
The steering system on the T2 provides you with precision, immediacy, and
exceptional sensitivity. Combining all-new ideas with the best aspects
of the Gemini 105Mc system results in a tiller arm connected to a stainless-steel
quadrant with a direct connection to the rudder. The T2's steerage is perfectly
balanced with literally no weather-helm - requiring only a light touch
on the tiller to keep you right on course. Of course, for when you need
a break, there's the optional RayMarine 1000 tiller auto-pilot.
The beauty of the T2's steerage design makes itself
known when you need it most. Sailing in shallow water is no problem
as the 4' 3" rudder automatically lifts to enable you to keep
going in as little as 1' of water. Of course, as seen on the Gemini
105Mc, the rudder operates in the up position as well. For docking
and while under power, the tiller swings both the rudder and the outboard
engine for perfect dock approaches with exceptional control, even in
reverse. Once you bring the engine up, simply remove the control pin
so that now the tiller is only operating the rudder. With the
control pin, the shaft-within-a-shaft design of the steering system
enables you to switch back and forth between steering modes in seconds.
In keeping with the spirit of this performance sailing craft, the T2
is available only with the tiller steering.
